German Open Robocup@work competition 2014 won by our smARTLab@work team
The School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science smARTLab@work team has won the 2014 German Open Robocup@work competition.
The win was somewhat unexpected, given the little preparation time/circumstances they were facing, and also the fact that they have not been able yet to update their hardware (like other teams) with a better gripper and 3d camera.
The successful team consist of the following: S. Benmendil (intern at smARTLab), B. Broecker (phd student), D. Claes (phd student - technical teamleader), R. Claessens (phd student in sept.14), J. Fossel (phd student), D. Hennes (now postdoc at ESA) and Prof. K. Tuyls
Winning this competition is a very good rehearsal for the world championship in Brasil in July 2014.
