Abstract
Reasoning with legal cases has been a central concern of Artificial and Law since its beginnings. Over the years a good understanding of how we use precedents to argue for an outcome in a new case has developed. This talk will describe the stages through which this understanding has developed, and the importance of exploiting domain features in guiding the formal approaches.![]()
