Harnessing Foundation Models for Materials and Chemistry with a sustainability use case.

Abstract

Foundation models offer great promise for rapid application to a variety of classification and regression tasks, as well as supporting generative AI use cases. These kinds of capabilities are well known for language models, and we have harnessed similar techniques for various modalities for chemistry and released these as open-source, open-weight models. We have also applied these FMs to a use-case for sustainability ranging from identification to substitution and eventually discovery, powered by various analytic flows and agentic capabilities.
