Abstract

The defence and security sector has always been a data-rich environment, resulting in many scientific advances being published in the data science literature over the last 30 years. This talk will provide an overview of data science within the defence and security sector, detailing the key statistical and computing methodologies employed, the research challenges currently facing the industry and how to work with the Alan Turing Institute on this (and other) topics.
