DESCRIPTION:Louwe Kuijer: Logics of conditional belief, obligation and rationality\n\nWe can use graphs to describe preferences among different alternatives. We can then interpret the preferred alternatives as being more plausible, more socially ideal, or likely to defeat the dis-preferred alternative. We should then believe the most plausible alternatives, try to bring about the socially ideal ones, and play the ones that will not be defeated. A conditional logic can be used to describe such beliefs, obligations to bring about, and playability.\n\nWhat conclusions we can draw in such a logic depends on the assumptions we place on the preference graph, and on how we determine which alternatives are the best.
